As previously mentioned, there seems to be a different paint treatment between the Japanese and Australian versions of the CB1100. It could just be that all the photographs we’ve seen of the Japanese CB1100 have all had ABS and there is a visual difference between the ABS and non-ABS models (in Australia, there isn’t an option for ABS). Or the CB1100 for the Australian market is purposely lacking a few little features to keep the import cost down for Honda.
Items noticed so far include:
- lack of tank stripes
- plain colored rims (ie: non black center)
- non-painted engine
- lack of extra chrome on engine
- (ABS).
Other differences also include extra reflectors on the front forks and the rear reflector being fixed above the licence plate holder, not below it and the lack of piping on the seat.
